A Collaborative Project by Goya Gumbani & Hallowed Ground Records

The seven track EP was produced entirely in house and recorded at Total Refreshment Centre in East London. The songs feature jazz and reggae influenced off-kilter melodies, matched with gritty MPC treated drums. The extended play reflects on the transition of seasons, specifically of leaving the summer behind and the drudgery of the everyday, referencing late summer nights in New York and the icy breeze of a London winter morning. The tracks are complemented by a constant stream of consciousness emerging from the haze, the voice of Goya Gumbani.

Brooklyn born, of Guyanese and Jamaican descent and later London raised; Goya Gumbani is an artist with a stand out sensibilities. Combining slick summations with a signature verve, he describes his plight and passion in his music through an open and assured delivery.
